My final project was originally based off "Lamentations" by Martha Graham. I was interested by the way her movement physically expressed the music in a way not commonly associated with dance. The stretched spandex made her movements seem quite inhuman, yet they were the result of a human body. When I started my project I tried to experiment with methods with which movement of the human body can express music while representing or showing something other than the human form. There are multiple layers of camerawork in my video and all of them are the result of motion and movement, but have an outward perspective, instead of focusing on the body.
